Living in (temporary) chaos is worth it...

During the weeks (and weeks) of renovating (and waiting on the carpet installation), the rest of our house looked like this...

This was probably good practice for us for when we get serious with the addition part of the project (which includes the demolition of our kitchen).  For someone who likes things to be pretty tidy, this has been a little challenging (to say the least).  But when we finally got everything put back together and it looked and functioned so much better... it was clearly worth living in the chaos for a few weeks to make it all happen!  I will remind myself of this every day as we move into the next phase of our project.
