Downstairs Bedroom!

Before tackling larger projects in the house, we decided to fix up our two small bedrooms.  These rooms were added to the house after the original construction.  They had fireplaces that didn't function... and only served to provide outside cold or hot air (depending on the season) direct access making these rooms miserable many months of the year.  There is only so much a fan and/or plug in heater can accomplish!  The closets were never finished and sported the siding from the exterior of the original house... not to mention lack of proper insulation.  We are still waiting on rugs and baseboards in the downstairs bedroom, but here are some photos...

BEFORE:
The closet showing the unfinished house siding (never finished after addition)!
Taking out the old useless fireplace... that was letting in so much funky outside air!
The godawful and very broken fan!

DURING:
Insulated, painted, and new mini split installed!
Waiting on carpet, but much improved!!
Here is the new unit that will provide AC and heat to our bedrooms... at long last!!

We still need to install the new fan, put in the carpet, and put up the baseboards... but HUGE progress!!  The room is so much nicer now that it is properly insulated... a total transformation in functionality to be sure!!

AFTER (FINALLY):
